Our Journey with Pristine Mood

From principles to action

In the second year of our journey with Pristine Mood—the sustainability program promoted by Serandipians, the international network bringing together some of the world’s leading luxury travel agencies and hospitality brands—we have reached the Budding stage. This phase marks the transition from a formal commitment to the concrete integration of sustainability into daily operations, through the implementation of planned actions and the development of a system that ensures continuity and measurability over time.

Our vision of sustainability is rooted in the land and in what makes it unique. The landscape regeneration project has been developed with a careful, non-invasive approach, with the aim of restoring value to the hills of Varignana while preserving natural balances and fostering biodiversity. Alongside this, the work carried out by our agricultural estates allows us to strengthen a local, sustainable supply chain and maintain a direct connection with the land and its seasonal rhythms. Within the resort, sustainability takes shape through the everyday choices that guide each department. Our culinary philosophy highlights local production, seasonality, and ingredients sourced from our own estates, while our team takes part each year in dedicated training programs focused on olive oil, wine, and environmental practices.

These initiatives are complemented by a strong commitment to reducing food waste, which we promote through structured programs such as Food for Good—an initiative that enables the recovery and redistribution of surplus food, transforming what might otherwise be lost into an opportunity to support the community. Our relationship with the local area represents another fundamental pillar of our approach. Support for the Castello per l’Autismo association, collaboration with non-profit organizations such as CEFA, inclusion programs, and scholarships for local students all reflect a tangible commitment to people and relationships. Our annual meeting with the community thus becomes an essential moment of listening and dialogue, offering a space to share results and gather new perspectives.

This journey is further strengthened and made measurable through certifications such as Green Key—one of the leading international programs for environmental management in hospitality—and UNI/PdR 125, the Italian standard that defines criteria for gender equality and guides the integration of inclusive policies within organizations. Both contribute to consolidating internal processes, ensuring transparency, and fostering continuous improvement.

The Budding stage offers an authentic snapshot of where we stand today: an evolution that grows day by day through attention to detail, the strength of our choices, and a vision that places the territory, people, and the value of relationships at its core.
